Director Health Safety and Environment- £Competitive Package, Global Engineering Organisation

I am recruiting on behalf of a global engineering support organisation and market leader across multiple industries worldwide. This particular role functions within their Marine and Technology division providing vital through-life engineering support, technology, equipment and training to major defence and civil customers globally.

The HSE Director will lead and champion corporate direction for the development and the sustainable implementation of vision, strategies, goals, methodologies, processes, systems. In doing so, enabling workforce and leadership capabilities to evolve a culture of continuous improvement that will deliver a world class Safety, Health and Environment Systems

Main Purpose of Role

* Provide leadership on all HS&E governance requirements for the business

* Lead the development of integrated policies and procedures

* Lead the development, implementation and embedding of a safety culture change programme

* Lead the continuous reduction of accidents and incidents across all sites and ensure compliance

* Ensure the effectiveness of incident investigation and ensure that the audit programme is robust and recommend improvements if required

* Lead the development of a Health and Wellbeing strategy

* Be able to have a strong stakeholder engagement and able to influence with authority and gravitas at board level

* Provide development and guidance in reference to the growth plans for the company and the contribution that SHE is required to make

* Coach, develop and mentor line managers to maximise performance and capability

* To develop and lead change programmes in Safety, Health and Environment

* NCRQ
