We are currently looking for a Lead Report Developer to lead a team in the delivery of accurate, on time, best in class reports, dashboards and self-service cubes with high visual appeal to enable clear metric tracking and decision making. Develop, support and motivate team of MI Reporting Analysts.
Have you worked closely with business change teams, taking responsibility for delivering new reporting and information views? Have you managed the creation and change to data definitions within a MI environment? Have you previously managed report developers and multiple stakeholders within a busy, client-facing environment? Do you have excellent data manipulation, communication and attention to detail skills? If so, you could be the person we're looking for!
The key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting a team of high performing, innovative and productive BAU/Offshore MI Reporting Analysts and report developers.
* Develop and maintain teams roadmaps for all direct reports and driving objectives
* Conduct regular reviews and appraisals for all reports
* Responsible for end to end delivery of reporting solutions including documenting business requirements, scoping, report development and delivery by adopting a clear systematic and appropriate project management.
* Elicitation and capture of detailed reporting requirements.
* Lead project communications, including weekly meetings with project teams (for longer term projects), project tracking and documentation
* Manage and set stakeholder expectations in a responsible and pragmatic way through correct channels and ensure relevance of communication across the stakeholder community
The successful candidate will possess the following;
* Experience supporting a high performing team.
* Experience of delivering project-based reporting in a high performance team
* Experience in using Business Objects Web Intelligence (Infoview), Tableau, or similar Business Intelligence tools, to create reports and/or changes to existing reports.
* Excellent hands on SQL (SPSS or SAS desirable), experience in working across various large scale data platforms (Oracle, Sybase, Netezza, etc.) and ability to work with undocumented/ unstructured data.
* Expert user of Excel to create pivot tables, charts, lookups etc. VBA experience would be an advantage
* The ability to communicate and present both orally and in writing, to appropriate senior clients and internal stakeholders and comfortable without ambiguity or uncertainty
* Demonstrable experience of solving a range of complex Insight and reporting problems
* Experience of working within a team environment and of sharing knowledge across organisations
* Excellent problem research and problem solving techniques
* Creative presentational skills with the ability to design outputs with strong visual appeal and good ergonomics.
* Desirable to have an understanding of Google Cloud infrastructure and toolsets.
