The purpose of the post is to:

1.Provide support to your line manager making efficiency savings within the ICT function particularly in terms of the PC/Laptop estate, software licencing and general ICT telecommunications infrastructure.

2.Assist the Project Manager in delivering the PC/Laptop Refresh Project and other hardware rollout projects, visiting LCC and LCC City Partner sites, providing staff with new devices and retrieving old devices.

3.Work with Business Partners to collect redundant devices and PC/Laptops from users who have multiple devices from sites across LCC, asset manage the retrieved stock and arrange for returned equipment to be recorded and ready for Recycling & Disposal.

The successful candidate will have:

*Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and customer care skills;

*Technical ICT experience in relation to the roll out, set up, commissioning and decommissioning of ICT hardware devices.

*The ability to exercise initiative in all areas of work and be able to work in a detailed and methodical manner;

*The ability to prioritise own workload and work quickly and accurately to exacting deadlines;

*The ability to organise, present and publish information effectively;

*A flexible and responsive approach to changing circumstances in the work environment;

*The ability to use a range of modern office software effectively (e.g. Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint);

*An awareness of project management principles;

*Experience of working in a large organisation with multiple functions (preferably within the ICT area).

*Experience of following laid down processes and working to ICT quality standards

*Creative approach to identifying solutions to problems

*Can do, will do customer focussed attitude

*Appreciation of the work required to maintain a service improvement culture.
