Data Controller - £60,000 - Northeast

The organisation is currently centralising their data into the Newcastle office undertaking a significant change programme to become an omni-channel and this is underpinned by data.

A huge investment is being made, building the team from scratch you will be working with greenfield projects and overseeing analysts and their work. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about data and wants to progress. Getting involved with exciting projects, there will never be a dull day.

Key Skills and Experience (Essential)

* Data flows and structures in relation to merchandising data

* Experience in IT service delivery (Data) with ITIL practices

* Extensive knowledge in data manipulation and reporting

* Experience in setting up, leading and developing teams

* Experience in any industry standard IT service desk tools

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

* Setup data support services

* Manage internal teams and 3rd parties

* Ensure high levels of performance in processes, accurate reporting and establishing service improvement activities

* Develop a strong understanding of data sources and data

* Troubleshoot and resolve ad hoc requests for Data and Report

* Provide Root Cause Analysis

* Support configuration and schedule Data Warehouse jobs

* Managing internal reference data

* Escalate the unresolved tickets to AMS (Application Managed Service)

* Build a team of Data Support Analysts

* Implement ITIL practices for IT service management
