Role: Infrastructure Delivery Manager
Duration: 6 months

Looking for a Delivery Manager to join our team.
Messaging Delivery Group (MDG) have a number of key integration services currently housed within the HMRC Data Centres. MDG must transition these services out of the Data Centres, transform and move to the Cloud by June 2022.
MDG require an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Manager to support transition and transformation of MDG services from the HMRC Data Centres to the Cloud. This speciality is for those who have managed projects that provide IT Infrastructure services. IT Infrastructure projects range from strategy, design, and planning, to integration and optimisation, to hardware and software technical support.
MDG require a Delivery Manager to:
* Establish the as-is situation including current design/architecture, interfaces, stakeholder, costs for all our services
* Develop options to transition / transform all services
* Confirm priorities
* Establish potential costs, benefits and potential saving
* Establish a delivery plan including dependencies on other projects/programmes
* Managing the delivery of projects using the appropriate Agile project management methodology;
* Working with the Service Manager to define the roadmap for the service and act as deputy to the Service Manager;
* Matrix-managing a multi-disciplinary technical team;
* Facilitating project meetings including daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives;
* Tracking progress and providing status reports to projects and stakeholders;
* Enabling the team to produce estimates of how much effort will be required to produce features that the Product Manager wants; and
* Collaborating with colleagues to refine the DG's approach to Agile project management and service development.
Skills and Experience
* Worked on large project deliveries in an enterprise environment preferably following Prince 2 best practices
* Worked within a service environment that adopted ITIL framework best practices.
* Wide breadth of knowledge on IT Infrastructure and networking including Public Cloud
* Project delivery using Agile project management methods;
* Balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity;
* Matrix-management of multi-disciplinary teams;
* Collaboration tools ideally Confluence and Jira;
* Service Oriented Architecture;
* Continuous Integration environments and tooling
