Change/Portfolio Manager/ Location - Suffolk / Contract - Permanent / £NEG

I am looking for an experienced Change and Portfolio Manager to join a reputable financial services client based in Suffolk. The main purpose of the roles is to maintain and manage an effective business change/project function, keeping projects and project resources on-track to achieve the organisations Corporate Objectives.

The Role

*To support the Head of Change in developing and implementing a Change Management strategy that includes:

*Appropriate use of change management techniques.

*Identifying improvements to business processes ensuring that they are fit for purpose and meet the needs of customers.

*Assessing the change impact.

*Effective reporting, planning, managing risks/issues and ensuring appropriate escalation.

*Consult and coach staff to embrace change and adopt new ways of working through appropriate stakeholder management.

*Assessing points of resistance and proactively managing these.

*Support Department Managers in delivering change and efficiencies to their business operation.

*Administering the internal Change Control Board.

*To implement and maintain the Society's Project Management Office ensuring that:

*A full business wide Project Portfolio is maintained

*PRINCE 2 project methodology is utilised incorporating structures, standards, processes,

*Documentation and reporting which is agile, fits the needs of the project and puts emphasis on the quality of decision making and timely project delivery.

*The project portfolio is regularly updated, prioritised and presented to the Senior Management Team.

*Project risks are appropriately documented using RAID logs.

*Human and financial resources are appropriately documented, managed, reported and escalated as necessary.

*Work alongside the Risk & Compliance function reviewing and maintaining all relevant risks including all operational, regulatory, conduct and credit risk areas, and ensure that appropriate systems and controls are in place to mitigate the risks and are robust and functioning effectively.

Qualifications knowledge, skills & attributes

*Relevant qualification - Change Management Institute/Project Management

*Knowledge and experience of working in Financial Services

*Knowledge of change management techniques - ADKAR/Six Sigma/Lean

*Knowledge and experience of PRINCE 2 methodology

*Leading, motivating and coaching

*Team player with ability to build relationships

*Planning strategies and tactics

*Problem solving and root cause analysis

*Excellent communication and listening skills

*Relationship management

*Flexible and adaptable
