Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Product Owner for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£400-£500/day (outside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Contribute to the development of outcome driven product roadmaps.

* Contribute to the agreement of meaningful OKRs for product roadmap delivery.

* Work with delivery team(s) to set goals that are achievable but at a pace, be prepared to listen, negotiate, and compromise.

* Make informed decisions about new features and opportunities for products and services, based on market intelligence and internal collaboration.

* Work alongside service design, fellow product management and business analyst community.

* Encourage ownership of products in teams, including end to end support and lifecycle management of the teams products.

* Work with the Design Authority or appropriate governance functions to continuously improve our business solution design capability and assisting in ensuring we are adhering to best practice.

* Support the identification, evaluation and tracking of project benefits.

Requirements:

* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently communicate with both internal and external stakeholders and to assist in aligning digital activities to business priorities and value.

* Ability to review ideas, projects and opportunities to develop new products, new technologies and business models for our customers.

* Collaborate with service design leaders, providing input and capability information as inputs to develop business case for initiatives.

* Experience of presenting analytics, identifying trends and patterns, and providing advice to inform decision making.

* Ability to think creatively and be able to articulate innovative ideas to solving complex business problems.

* In depth knowledge and demonstrable experience of value frameworks for prioritization of requirements.

* Ability to engage with internal and external customers to develop customer insight in line with Customer Engagement Strategy.

* Practical experience of making business change stick in an continuous improvement environment.

* Actively contribute to community of practice.

Desirable Skills:

* Experience of working in an Agile development environment.

* Experience of working in a Digital team.

* Experience of PEGA Case Management solutions and implementations.

* Experience of lean design principles, systems thinking and domain driven design.
