Lead Business Analyst - Agile

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Lead Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£425-£450/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Work on a programme to replace the organisation's contract and service for its tax collection and management system.

* Leading a small team of business analysts, responsible for capturing the business and legislative requirements for the new system and supporting operational processes.

* Working closely with the Product Owners and Senior Users within the business to explore opportunities for business improvement.

* Leading on investigative and analytical work to create recommendations/propose solutions.

* Lead on engagement with key stakeholders and suppliers, articulating through documentation the programme requirements, managing risks and dependencies across those groups in order to ensure smooth delivery.

* Working with Senior Users to help assess the transitional impacts of the new service on ways of working.

* Identifying actions and tasks that will need to be carried out by functional Teams as part of transition to the new service.

* Supporting Teams in the execution of the agreed transition schedule.

* Supporting the project in assessing business readiness for live operation of the new service.

* Contributing to the Programme's Lessons Learned activities.

Requirements:

* Experienced Lead Business Analyst.

* Must have experience of working in an Agile delivery environment.

* Strong communication skills (written and verbal), particularly in communicating complex information to others.

* Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office.

* Experienced in the use of JIRA (or similar).

* Good stakeholder management.

* Public sector experience would be advantageous.
