Advanced Data Analytics & BI Manager - Government

London

A tier-one client based in London currently source a Data Analytics Manager. The role pays up to c£80,000 basic (depending on experience) plus car allowance, cashable benefits, pension scheme, annual bonus plus extras.

It is crucial that applicants carry deep experience in one or more of the following sectors; defence, government, aerospace, nuclear or other highly secure sector - and as such, holding SC, CTC or DV clearances (or the ability to hold in the future) is highly desirable.

Accountabilities of the role:

* Presence - you will be responsible for the delivery of stakeholder facing projects, being the main day to day point of contact for senior contacts and the data and analytics SME.

* Technical - demonstrating skilled data analysis, manipulation, querying and profiling and visualisation to answer business questions.

* Team work - you will be either a key team member on large complex assignments and/or will lead work streams on smaller and medium size engagements.

* Business Development - supporting proposal and contract / proposition development, and building and maintaining clients relationships.

Key data analytics skills we are looking for:

* Big Data" i.e. Hadoop (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR etc), Azure and NoSQL databases

* Data management experience including traditional ETL knowledge, data quality, data governance etc.

* Reporting/visualisation - PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, Spotfire, SAS for COTS and Pentaho for open source

* Experience of Organisational deployment of Business Intelligence solutions including people, process and technology factors

* Advanced analytics (or data science) - SAS, SPSS, R (or Revolution R), Python etc.

* Knowledge of statistical techniques and analysis (such as regression, clustering, sampling, social network analysis)
