My client, an organisation based in the Sydney CBD is recruiting for an IT Program Manager for a period of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities;

* Partnering with C-level stakeholders to manage expectations and deliver outcomes

* Governing all aspects of delivery at a portfolio level

* Closely working with the initiation team and business engagement managers on business cases & funding submissions

* Working with IT PMs to forecast ongoing resource needs

* Holding PMs accountable for complying with PMO standards

* Levelling portfolio supply & demand

* Liaising with diverse teams and business stakeholders

* Tracking dependencies, risks and issues at a portfolio level

* Tracking the deliverable of IT PM's working on a variety of projects within the portfolio

* Portfolio and steer co reporting

* Contributing to Leadership meetings

* Financial management forecasting and tracking portfolio budgets

* Mentoring and growing the team

* Change Management

Required Experience;

* At least 15 years project / program management experience in a variety of industries

* Superior stakeholder management skills

* Experience in managing portfolios in excess of $15m per annum

* Consulting experience and a track record of being hands on in planning, governing and reporting on the delivery of a portfolio of diverse projects

* Experience with both Application and Infrastructure Projects

* Comfortable & experienced in working with ambiguity and changing priorities

* Excellent reporting, presentation & modelling skills

* Sophisticated communication skills

* Stays calm under pressure

* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills

The right candidate would be able to flex their style between stakeholders to build strong relationships and deliver outcomes. Preferred style would be calm, considered listener, yet with the energy to inspire and energise others. A leader that can softly command a room of senior stakeholders (exec / C Level), and take business users on a journey together with collaborating with IT stakeholders.
