Business Relationship Manager

My nationally recognised client are looking for an IS Business Relationship Manager to join their well established team during an exciting period of change. This role will be based at the Head Office in Coventry, Warwickshire.

Key Responsibilities:

*Overall accountability for all aspects of IS's engagement with business functions

*Work with other members of the IS team to define a consistent and holistic approach to IS's engagement with business functions

*Building, maintaining and enhancing working relationships with senior management members of business functions, IS teams and direct reports

*Partner with business functions in the development of strategic and tactical business plans. Manage demand and leverage IS technology to meet business goals and objectives

*Monitor the progress of IS delivery to ensure expected deliverables and results with specific focus on benefits realisation.

*Accountable for ensuring that key risks and issues are identified, addressed and resolved in a manner that satisfies the business.

*Provide leadership in transforming the IS organisation into a proactive value-added business-focused service provider

*Work with business function senior management to find creative ways to reduce costs while increasing IS value.

*Act as a role model Valued Business Partner and help champion these behaviours across the organisation

*Manage staff, evaluate employee performance and establish career development plans for direct reports.

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Proven ability to build successful working relationships and partnerships with business management at a senior level. Excellent stakeholder management skills with credibility and gravitas to influence and lead thought at the senior level

*Direct experience of IS strategic, investment and programme planning ensuring alignment with business strategy and priorities

*Ability to develop and lead high performing direct and virtual teams to deliver successful outcomes in a complex, multi-sourced environment.

*Understanding of a broad range of consulting approaches, IS processes and best practices

*Strong commercial focus - understanding of the cost and value drivers of business and how IS supports them with ability to drive positive commercial outcomes for the benefit of the company

*Collaborate with, and influence business stakeholders to explore best in class, innovative solutions to business challenges

*Innovative and critical thinker who is willing to take risks to satisfy needs of the business while working in the best interests of the company

*Operate as a role model for Valued Business Partner championing similar behaviours across IS

*Previous experience is likely to have been gained in a consultancy environment, IS department within a large organisation or in a business role with significant exposure to IS.

This is an amazing opportunity to join an established but growing company during an exciting period of change. The salary for this role is £70,000-£75,000 plus an excellent company benefits package including car allowance, generous pension scheme and company bonus to name a few!
