Assistant Installation Engineer - CCTV & Security (Great Development Opportunity)

Wirral, Merseyside

Up to £24,000 DOE Plus Team Bonus, Annual Performance-Based Salary Review, 25 Days’ Holiday, Workplace Pension

As a leading, specialist company in the area of CCTV and security, our client offers wide ranging, high-end security products and solutions to business customers and public sector organisations throughout the UK.

Due to ongoing expansion, they’re now looking for an Assistant Installation Engineer to join their team and develop into a skilled Security Installation Engineer. Our client is particularly interested in hearing from driven individuals with two years or more of cabling experience (data and/or electrical cabling) on commercial premises.

Offering an enjoyable working environment, our client will provide a structured development plan and training to enable you to develop your career from Assistant Installation Engineer into a Security Installation Engineer.

As an Assistant Installation Engineer, you will be part of a highly experienced technical and engineering team responsible for security system installations, as well as carrying out maintenance visits and emergency call outs.

Taking a hands-on approach, you’ll manage the physical cabling and mounting of equipment, as well as testing the correct working of a system.

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake occasional overnight stays throughout the UK, so a flexible approach to travel is essential.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- Experience of running cable indoors and outdoors, as well as using hand tools and mounting equipment to different wall materials and structures

- A keen interest in IT and/or networking and good computer skills

- A strong awareness of health and safety standards

- A full driving licence

As an Assistant Installation Engineer, you will have great problem-solving abilities and strong on-site customer management skills. Great interpersonal skills, a team player mentality, an honest disposition and exceptionally high standards are all key.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates will be required to undertake a DBS (formerly CRB) check. Security screening will also be required.
