Application Developer - £40K - Northampton

My client are a market leader in their field and a subsidiary backed by a global organisation. They are looking for an experienced Application Developer with experience developing business systems. The focus of the role is to utilise new investment and enhance their current solution whilst looking to begin building an internal development team!

As part of a large group that brings together manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and logistics organisations my client is now part of a complex and intricate business. This will have a major impacty upon key business processes and of course their current ERP system. Having recently upgraded in order to maintain their return on invetment they wish to utilise investment from the parent company and develop their ERP to embrace these business changes.

It is a challenging role that will require not only strong development skills but a fantastic functional skillset to be able to understand business processes, the impact on current business work flows and how these will be worked into the current system. The IT department are fully on board with managing business change and the business as a whole are embracing this.

The following experience is essential;

* Demonstrable experience in programming/development utilising VB or .Net

* Strong functional exposure to ERP solutions

* ERP system development projects experience, hands on

* Manufacturing industry knowledge

* Exceptional communication and project management skills
