Data Migration Lead

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Data Migration Lead for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£400-£500/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Following data protection rules at all times.

* Development of a data migration strategy.

* Work with the supplier to develop a high-level migration cutover plan for review by the relevant stakeholders during Discovery (by mid-December).

* Working with the Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts to identify the data quality issues and offering advice for correcting or accepting them in advance of the migration.

* Working with the Test Manager on the development and execution of the Data Migration Test Plan and Test Activities, working with the relevant supplier to ensure timely resolution of issues identified and that any risks are appropriately managed.

* Ensuring the relevant Privacy Impact Assessments are undertaken.

* Managing the data migration activity, working with the incoming and incumbent suppliers.

* Offering advice and a strategy for any data not being migrated.

* Contributing to the Programme's Lessons Learned activities.

Requirements:

* Experienced Data Migration Lead with ideally experience working within the public sector.

* Experienced at developing migration strategies, migration planning and overseeing assurance/testing.

* Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office.

* Experienced in the use of JIRA (or similar).

* Good stakeholder management.
