Portfolio Manager

Location: Remote based

We are actively looking to secure an experienced Portfolio Manager to join Experis.

The Portfolio Manager will be required to manage a number of projects within the client's Retail IT programme.

Key Responsibilities:

* Contribute, facilitate and in many cases lead the development of Portfolio Definition outputs

* Ensure sign off of all project milestones and deliverables

* Finalise budgets and financials for the Portfolio and manage the budget on an ongoing basis

* Managing Portfolio level resource, both human and financial

* Managing interfaces across the Portfolio and with other Portfolios and Programmes being undertaken

* Monitoring and managing progress against the Rolled Up Portfolio Plan

* Updating the key Portfolio documentation

* Ensuring the overall integrity of the Portfolio is maintained

* Managing the Portfolio risk management and issue resolution activities

* Co-ordinating and integrating the work of the projects and managing the interdependencies

* Manage the communications with the Portfolio Stakeholders

* Initiating extra activities and other management interventions whenever issues arise or gaps are identified within the Portfolio

* Reporting in to the Programme Director.

Essential Skills and Experience:

* Have experience of working with a portfolio delivery projects/programmes, financial, resource and vendor management.

* Strategic vision, the ability to help define a portfolio and roadmap.

* Strong understanding of technology, process, risk and controls, and business proposition preferably in retail banking or financial services

* Exceptional relationship and stakeholder management skills.
