Position: Senior Developer

Location: Reading

Salary: £370000 - £44000 per annum

Job type: Permanent

Job Purpose

To develop, code review, test, deploy and maintain new and existing features within the product suite. The role will be partly client facing to help ensure their needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

Representing Business internally and externally in a professional manner.

Implementing solutions as per the design and specification, using the most appropriate methods, tools and languages.

Software is written in the following languages:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Python

XML, XSL, XSLT

PHP

SQL

Taking part in and, where appropriate, leading project and code reviews.

Adhering to and informing best practices within the team.

Supporting and maintaining existing solutions.

Assisting in the production of estimates and informing of progress

Requirements - Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Object-Oriented Programming

Web-based client/server architectures

Knowledge of how to develop secure web-based applications

High-level scripting languages (e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl)

HTML, JavaScript, CSS

Relational database design and SQL (SQL Server, MySQL)

JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g. jQuery)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Non-Negotiables skills:

Can do web development - high-level script languages

Strong desire to learn python

Proven experience of being able to communicate with clients directly.

Minimum 2/3 years of programming.

KEY SKILLS:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Python

XML, XSL, XSLT

PHP

SQL o Write clear, maintainable, efficient and secure code.

A good understanding of the functionality offered by the Business Collaborator suite of applications is essential.
