Reporting to the Group IT Director, the role of the Group IT Strategy Director is to accelerate IT strategy across the Group, build a strong collaborative IT community and create a winning technology capability for the client.

The Strategy Director will work with teams and suppliers to help shape opportunities for business growth or expense reduction via the use of technology.

The Group IT Strategy Director will also be the IT Director for all Group systems, accountable for these critical systems and supporting Finance, HR, Procurement, IT and others to shape strategy and deliver change and service.

Knowledge is required of:

- Business and IT strategy

- Current technology engineering knowledge in areas such as cloud, digital, automation and analytics

- Ways of working such as Agile, Dev Ops

- Insurance and Asset Management sector (ideally)

- Strategic planning, project management and execution

- Commercial metrics, dynamics and financial management disciplines

- IT controls and associated protocols

- The regulatory environment, including FCA, PRA

- Group strategy, policies and procedures

Experience of:

- Leading IT strategy in an organisation where it has had a significant business impact

- Experience of digital transformation

- Delivering technology innovation and change

- Developing and managing complex internal business partner and supplier relationships at a senior level

- Working in an Agile environment

Travel to other UK sites will be required to lead the project(s)
