My client, a large global brand, is looking for an experience lawyer to join a hugely successful and growing team. This is a long term contract role, initially for 2 years, with possibility of extension or move to permanent. Strong attention to detail and experience of drafting general commercial contracts and advising on English law matters are required for this role. UK or Commonwealth qualified is highly desirable, but not compulsory. The team is based in London, but the client is open to virtual working and any other flexible (part time, remote, etc.) arrangements, including working out of their Manchester office. The role is to provide commercially-focused, legal advice and support to all areas of the business. Role includes, but is not limited to, drafting, reviewing, analysing, negotiating, amending and advising on a wide range of agreements and legal documents, including distribution, sponsorship, marketing, partnership, affiliate and many other types of agreements and standard terms and conditions, as well as handling consumer (and other) complaints, reviewing marketing materials, conducting due diligence and legal research. Proactively ensuring that management and business teams understand and comply with legal and regulatory requirements affecting the card payment and consumer businesses in EMEA. Identifying and effectively managing and communicating legal risk. Supporting internal governance and approval processes, including coordinating with Compliance, Risk, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
