A tier-one, London-based client is sourcing data science & analytics leaders, ideally with strong experience within the insurance sectors. The positions pay between £80-100,000 basic salaries with significant benefits packages.

The use of data is becoming more and more important. To meet this growing demand, our client is significantly investing in their data science and advanced analytics practice to offer a wide range of data-related services; from data strategy and architecture, through to data management, business intelligence, advanced analytics and machine learning and AI. To this end, they are currently looking for experienced data practitioners to join their fast growing Data & Analytics team. They have ambitious plans and are looking for individuals who can develop and build their overall capability.

About You

*Experience of the UK Financial Services industry - ideally in Insurance

*Understanding of the Insurance Business Value Chain

*Experience in building Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning models e.g. Natural Language Processing (NLP), Natural Language Generation (NLG), Deep Learning (Voice and Image recognition), Geospatial Prediction, Multi-layer Perception and other Neural Networks.

*Artificial Intelligence / Voice Technology experience e.g. IBM Watson, Amazon Echo, Google Home, Microsoft Cortana, Apple Siri.

*Experience in multiple tools/language/frameworks within the Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, MongoDB, Neo4j, Hbase, Cassandra)

*Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Platforms (e.g. Azure / IBM / Google / AWS)

*Advanced data analytics, building models in Python, R, SAS programming languages and libraries

*Data analytics and visualisation products such as D3, Power BI, Qlikview, Tableau

*Strong SQL and data manipulation skills

*Data quality and data cleansing techniques

*Understanding and experience of the principles of data strategy and architecture

You will also need to have

*Track record of managing data project delivery and project teams including ability to meet deadlines, overcome challenges, manage stakeholder expectations and produce project deliverables

*Ability to develop new ideas into structured, deliverable proposals and projects

*Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities

*Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

*Excellent presentation and report writing skills

Desirable qualifications

*A technical background in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or similar

*SAS / SQL certified practitioner qualification
