Health and Safety Manager

Newton Abbot

£35,000 - £45,000 + Training + 22 Days Holiday + Pension

Excellent opportunity for a competent health and safety professional to work autonomously in strengthening the processes within a growing and exciting manufacturer.

The company is well established in their industry and have seen a year on year growth of over 20%. They plan further expansion over the upcoming years while focussing on maximising quality, in house systems and maintaining environmental considerations.

The role would suit someone with a background as a Health and Safety manager from a manufacturing, engineering or similar background. Day to day you will be involved in strengthening the company's processes involving workplace hazards, harmful substances and emergency systems. You will also play a part in mentoring the current Health and Safety advisor alongside consideration of environmental procedures.

THE ROLE:

*Strengthen company's Health and Safety processes.

*Consideration of workplace hazards and harmful substances.

*Manage and enforce guidelines.

*Mentor Health and Safety advisor.

*Working with chemicals.

*Optional flexible shift pattern.

THE PERSON:

*A background in Manufacturing, Engineering or similar.

*Any LEAN and Project Management experience beneficial.

*Commutable to Newton Abbot.
