Role: IT Governance & Risk Manager
Duration: 6 months
Location: Dublin City
Daily Rate: DOE
A rapidly expanding enterprise is seeking an experienced IT Governance & Risk Manager for a 6 month contract with a high chance of permanency afterwards. The client is growing its head count from 200-400 in the next 12 months and following multiple scheduled acquisitions is planning to scale to 3000+ within the next 4 years. This position reports directly into the CISO .
The IT Governance & Risk Manager will manage the IT risk, governance, compliance and security frameworks for entities within the business. As part of this effort, the successful candidate will collaborate with Service Providers to ensure compliance with IT policies, SLA and control objectives whilst driving focus on service improvement initiatives.
- Required to drive, influence and document strategic and operational frameworks supporting risk, compliance and security activities.
- Create and maintain an IT risk register to ensure that all identified risk factors are accounted for. Carrying out IT risk assessments as appropriate. Validate risk appetite and tolerance with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Evaluate complex information systems and controls including but not limited to applications, business control processes, change control management procedures, security, networks, and computer and data centre operations.
- Evaluate the current state of information systems processes using a maturity model to identify the gaps between current and targeted process maturity. Defining a programme to ensure that deficiencies are appropriately considered and re-mediated.
- An understanding of IT outsourcing in a regulated environment
- Experience of IT risk management
