Role: Data Architect

Location: Southend/Telford

Duration: 6 Months

Role Description

Canonical Data Model for Messaging:

* Define the Strategy and Framework for Canonical Messaging

* Development and maintenance of the Physical Canonical Data Model for Messaging

Proof of Concepts:

*Define and evaluate the delivery of Proof of Concepts to prove architectural intentions

Business Architecture:

* Define and maintain the alignment of integration with business processes and information flows across the enterprise

Canonical Schema Development:

* Guide best practice usage and adoption of canonical messaging

* Make enhancements to the Canonical Schema to support integration.

Essential Skills/Criteria

* Have in-depth experience of defining and implementing target and transition architectures for Mission critical legacy transformation projects

* Experience of Big Data technologies and strategies

* Proven experience of defining data transformation and migration strategies and architecture for Business Intelligence solutions

* Experience of defining solutions for Cloud hosting of mission critical services

* Experience of defining architectures using Open Source technologies

* Enterprise data modelling, policies and standards

- Outside In / Enterprise Design methodologies

- Data Architecture practices

- Comfortable translating business requirements to Data Architecture outcomes

- Architectural design and documentation at a landscape and technical reference model level

- Leading groups of the Segment Architects and/or Solution Architects related to a given programme.

- Analysing business strategies

- Leadership in creating, maintaining and marketing the architectural vision and direction

- Extensive experience in designing and leading the conceptual, logical and physical design for ?distributed databases. ?

- Extensive experience in driving Meta data architecture and Master Data Management ?Solutions. ?

Extensive experience in performing analysis and design for Data Management and Data Driven projects. ?

- Experience with Big Data/Hadoop/NoSQL, Visualisation and reporting tools, data profiling analysis and transformation. ?

- Experience of Cloud Data technologies, solutions and future Cloud Data Strategies ?

- Understanding of activities within primary discipline such as Master Data management ?(MDM), Metadata Management and Data Governance (DG). ?

- Consistently demonstrate strong experience in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Database ?architectures, design patterns, best practices, and programming techniques around relational ?modelling, dimensional modelling and data integration. ?

- Business and Data Analysis skills ?

- Leadership and influence skills across Business and Technology organisations
