DV 3rd Line Support Engineer - Corsham - 5 Month Contract

My client, a technology consultancy are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join them in Corsham on a 5 month contract basis. The role can offer a competitive daily rate and are looking to get someone started in October.

Role Background:

* Has complete responsibility for technical input to qualification and business approval meetings to make a recognized technical contribution.

* Designs small or medium scale solutions (or parts of larger solutions) which need minimal review following peer review.

* Defines the approach to small/medium scale solution development and acceptance testing, ensuring an acceptable cost structure.

Required Skills:

* Installation and integration of software packages - capability to understand how they are deployed and configured, what is being changed by the install and be able to translate this to create and update installation scripts

* Identify configuration properties, where they are located and suggest how they can be safely changed

* Deployment of JAVA based products and understand issues of co-existence of versions

* Basic Networking understanding - Ports Protocols such as WMS and KML (mapping and overlays)

* Powershell

* PKI Certificates (creation and installation in both Windows and JAVA environments)

* Candidates should also have experience of the below:

* MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, Installation and configuration

* Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 & 10, VMWare Hosts, Solaris

* Candidates should also hold an active DV Clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the process.
