Working for a large scale retail company who are recognised by all, the successful will have the opportunity's to work in a well funded and talented Data team. My client have invested well in their BI / data function and using the latest's tools and technologies, they understand the importance of data and how it is used and stored.

Key Aspects of this role:

Working with the business units within the company, understand how they use data, what are the missed opportunities and what is the business flow and how that will depend upon your data model.

Responsible to Develop, validate, and communicate Dimensional data modeling solutions and to build out a new Master Data Management

Working on Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Dimensional Modeling, Source to target mapping.

Recommend Tools to better model data / visualizations

Analyse information flow and recommend appropriate technological solutions.

Participate in team meetings to define standards, work through issues or gaps, setup collaborations with other teams from I.T. to end user

Implementing best practice data management and influence stakeholders to better understand risks.

Plays a key role in maintaining data modeling, Master Data, metadata, and data dictionary artifacts in a central repository

Skills/Experience Required

Experience working at a large scale enterprise designing and delivering data models

Well read in the technologies involving big data, databases and data warehouses

Experience as a business analyst would be helpful

Good commercial understanding of the processes within a retail enterprise

3 Years experience modelling data using a recognised enterprise level tool
