About The Company:

Our client is an exciting new company that’s looking to change how the public views and uses the aviation industry. Their mission is to make air travel personal, on-demand and carbon-free.

Now, they are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Bristol and deliver platform avionics, control systems and ground systems for a new type of aircraft.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

- Lead architecture and software development for aerospace solutions

- Analyse and specify requirements

- Develop the GUI, embedded software and cloud functionality

- Build internal tools to aid engineering development

- Support build and fault-finding efforts

Interested? To be considered as a Software Engineer, you will need:

- At least eight years’ experience of software engineering

- Experience developing with UML

- Experience developing in an agile framework

- Experience using Continuous Integration

- Experience of certifying to standards

- Linux experience

- DUI development experience

- Proficiency in at least two object oriented programming languages

- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering degree, ideally a Master’s or PhD

Experience of certifying to aerospace standards would be beneficial to your application, as would proficiency in embedded programming and developing with the unreal game engine. Experience with building and testing systems on UAS would also be advantageous, as would experience in web technologies, AWS and databases.

An understanding of machine learning techniques would be equally favourable, as would experience with autocoding from MATLAB and/or Simulink.
