Business & Operations Manager

Ordnance Survey has an opportunity available for a Business & Operations Manager to join the team based at our Innovation Hub in London. About the role:

We are looking for a Business & Operations Manager to provide experienced operational leadership for Geovation’s growing team.

Reporting to the Head of Geovation, you will collaborate with the senior team to design and implement business strategies, operating plans and procedures that drive business performance and efficiency and ensure alignment with corporate strategies and plans.

You will also be required to:

- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure the business is appropriately resourced to achieve agreed goals and objectives, tracking progress against metrics and milestones including financial goals.

- Help to develop policies that promote and enable company culture and vision, encouraging the team to delivery to its full potential and supporting individual development.

- Represent Geovation at networking events and meetups and proactively engage with the extended Geovation community in person and on social media.

Skills and experience required to be our Business & Operations Manager:

You will have a proven track record as a business manager or other relevant role and/or BSc/Ba in Business Management or relevant field. You must be confident in preparing written collateral and in providing financial reports and analysis. As a senior manager, you will be experienced in setting objectives and supporting the personal development of your team.

You must also demonstrate your track record against the following essential criteria in your application:

- Strong business and financial acumen and good understanding of managing and monitoring business performance and metrics

- Excellent organisational and relationship management skills

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

- Thorough understanding of business processes

- Experience in an accelerator or innovation field desirable

- Organized and detail oriented while not losing sight of the bigger picture

- Collaborative and positive attitude
