SAP Hybris Architect to be based in Birmingham on an initial 6 Month contract. Experienced Hybris Architect with experience dealing with ecommerce solutions and have worked on end to end implementations.

Job Title - SAP Hybris Architect

Location - Birmingham

Duration - 7 Months

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the end to end architecture of Hybris implementations

* Ensure that client technical design requirements are appropriately documented, and prioritised in conjunction with the business.

* Conduct discovery workshops with client and explore their technical landscape. Create interface designs and high level solution designs based on the outcomes of discovery workshops.

* Publish and maintain a technical Roadmap for the platform, defining how constituent technologies, frameworks and hosted environment are kept up to date to ensure maximum productivity and cost effectiveness.

* Participate in Agile sprints and help developers understand the solution and provide technical help if needed.

* Support the clients in developing their strategic roadmap to identify opportunities for improved business performance and to extract maximum value from investments.

* Set and govern non-functional requirements for systems ensuring that all delivery teams meet set standards around performance, security, code maintainability and supportability.

* Working with other Architects to ensure that application design principles are adhered to in the creation of any new systems / platforms

* Stay up to date with emerging technology trends within the SAP Hybris estate and seek to innovate and champion new technologies/frameworks/tools where appropriate.

Requirements of the Role:

* Significant architecture experience, ideally working on high volume scalable ecommerce solutions associated to the technical domain.

* Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality technical solutions in line with business needs and timescales.

* Understanding of software best practices, design principles & patterns

* Ability to explain complex technical information in business terms

* Good understanding of coding best practices for security and performance

* Deep, up to date knowledge of hybris technologies including hybris accelerators and demonstrable experience as a Technical Architect in a number of Hybris implementations

* Experience with Spring, Hibernate and other Java / J2EE technologies and modern web application design frameworks

* Working knowledge of service oriented architectures & technologies such as apache camel / cxf, active mq, jboss fuse

* Experience working within continuous delivery methods and devops

* Strong working experience with Agile methods (scrum, XP, kanban)

* Demonstrable performance analysis and tuning skills

* Knowledge to Linux, tomcat, apache technologies

* Knowledge of deployment frameworks and the use of containers e.g. docker

* Good experience of cloud architecture; public, private, hybrid

* At least 2-3 end to end implementations of Hybris commerce projects as Lead or Architect

* Experience of conducting discovery phases and client workshops to explore technical and solution requirements

* The right candidate will demonstrate deep working knowledge of Hybris platform with focus on Hybris Commerce and Accelerators (B2B and B2C)

* Knowledge of Hybris Order Management and Hybris Data Hub is desired but not essential.

* X/HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and SQL

* Experience with Oracle or MySQL or MS SQL Server
