Be part of the biggest property programme in the country.

This is an exciting time to join HMRC Estates: we’re moving from 170 offices in 2015 to 13 regional centres, five specialist sites and seven transitional sites by 2021.

Our 600+ strong team supplies, manages and maintains our spaces and places, ensuring they’re safe, secure and offer the best environment for our people to deliver HMRC’s mission, and provide value for money for the taxpayer.

We want to become the best estates department in Government, and we’re looking for an exceptional project manager to help us deliver this. This is your opportunity to be part of an exciting change project.

As our go-to person for Senior Hubs Project Delivery Support, you’ll be part of the excellent Estates Transformation Delivery Team, within HMRC Estates. Crucially, you will be helping to drive our Locations Programme.

This is a fascinating and demanding role, which will see you working at the heart of change. You’ll be directly supporting the Hubs Project Lead, as well as engaging closely with the wider team and strategic delivery partners.

It will be your job to provide the necessary assurance and governance for each Hub project, as well as creating and maintaining underpinning processes. From management of risk and project reporting, you ensure delivery to agreed time, cost and quality.

We’re looking for someone who’s strong on stakeholder management. You’ll be able to combine this with an understanding of HMRC’s strategic change plans and Estates direction.

Crucially, you’ll hold qualifications in MSP, Prince Practitioner, APM (PMQ), MAPM, or an equivalent. And you’ll have practical experience of working in a project management or PMO environment.

In addition, you’ll be a member of the Government Property Profession network, or happy to become one. Plus, ll be up for studying for a PPM or Change Management qualification, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner.

In return, you can look forward to a rewards package that includes:

Competitive salary

flexible working hours

competitive pensions

extensive talent, career and personal development, including a minimum 5 days’ training each year

help with caring responsibilities, including special leave

generous paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave

a community volunteering programme, the opportunity to join a trade union, and discounted membership of local and national sports and social groups

salary advances for travel costs, including annual season tickets and cycle-to-work schemes

Closing date: 8 October 2018.
