Solutions Architect

£50,000 - £55,000 + Excellent benefits

Our client is an education technology company based in Oxford, UK. They provide schools, teachers and students around the world with flexible solutions that support the implementation of blended learning methodologies. Based on our blended learning methodologies, they offer ranges from content that’s accessed via our digital platform, to courses that are taught online in full, promoting student responsibility and success.

Job role includes:

Document & own current and future system architecture and associated roadmap

Identify customer requirements, analyse alternatives and conduct product recommendation related to software, platform and network configurations

Shaping individual solution designs following a structured methodology appropriate to the scale of the project

Own the project plan, overall solution from specification through development and transition into operation

Ensure the design meets key functional and non-functional requirements ensuring the in-life benefits of the solution can be met to a satisfactory level

Lead costing/effort estimation efforts to build understanding of potential solution costs, delivery and quality standards

Overseeing the implementation of the solution design in collaboration with internal and external technical terms

Suitable candidates will have the following:

Solid experience within a Solutions Architect role (5 years+)

Working knowledge of structured software development methodology

Experience of working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies

Understanding the System Integration

Understanding of SQL Architecture in Cloud/AWS/Azure

Troubleshooting/Integration/Implementation experience

JIRA and Confluence management

Supplier Management

Good interpersonal and team working skills and to be able to work at all levels of organisation

Strong analytical competence and communication skills

Business Intelligence - (nice to have but not essential)
