Software Developer required to join team working on applications to provide real time processing and visualization of data streams. This is a varied role that would suit an adaptable software developer who can build and release applications and is able to use a variety of tools and languages. You will maintain an existing application written in Labview and Python and eventually respin away from Labview to convert the UI to a browser based UI using web technologies such as Angular, NodeJS and JavaScript.

This Software Developer role would suit a candidate with 3+ years of commercial experience working in the full development lifecycle. A basic knowledge of Labview is required, (additional training can be provided) and experience of source code control and bug tracking tools such as SVN, Redmine, GIT or Jira. Knowledge of Python, SQL or No-SQL and web technologies such as JavaScript, Angular or Node.JS would all be of interest. Really the role is looking for a candidate who is willing to take on new challenges and pick new skills and languages. You previous experience could be in software testing, as a Developer in Test, or Dev Ops Engineer role.

This software developer position requires strong communication skills and a degree in Computer Science or similar, which will have given you a grounding in the development lifecycle and programming. If you have done UI or web development this would be useful as well. You will join an existing development team working on tools for clients based in the oil and gas, communications and engineering industries.
