Optoelectronics Test Engineer / Optical Fibre support engineer required for world leading technology company working on market leading acoustic sensor technologies. This role would suit a graduate or MSc candidate with a background in Optoelectronics or Physics. Candidates with a PhD in Physics or Optoelectronics will also be considered. For this Optoelectronics Test Engineer you must have some experience of handling optical fibre - cleaving or fusion splicing or soldering and trouble shooting electrical circuits. You will be performing system testing, and R&D optical and electrical assembly, as well as providing technical support to clients. Candidates with exposure to Matlab or LabVIEW and analytical skills will be of particular interest. As Optoelectronics Test Engineer you will be responsible for quality control and documentation. You will gain detailed knowledge of world leading acoustic sensor products, and as optoelectronics support engineer be able to contribute improvements in the product and system architecture. The position is based in Borehamwood, and is commutable from Elstree, Watford, Stanmore and North London.
