Computer Futures are working with a key Consultancy partner who are seeking two experienced data analysts to work in a newly established, multi-disciplinary unit based in South Wales.
You will have experience of working with large, micro-level datasets gained either in the public or private sectors, or in academic work. You will have a high level of capability in using Python to analyse large datasets, and of working in a Spark distributed cluster environment using Scala and/or the PySpark API.
You will have experience of developing the analytical and technical capability of colleagues in the application of best practice coding principles. You will also have a track record of capability building in previous roles.
Responsibilities:
* To produce analysis of newly acquired administrative datasets to support the broader objectives.
* To lead work on programming best practice, establishing a set of principles for coding in Python, and Scala and/or PySpark
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 2 to 5 years' experience of programming and analysis using large, micro-level datasets
*
* Experience of developing the capability of colleagues in programming languages in a distributed environment
*
* Experience of collaborating with others to deliver applied analysis using large micro-level datasets
*
* An interest in applying their programming capabilities to examine issues.
Contract - Minimum 12 Months
Day Rate - DOE
