Cyber Educator and Innovator
||New College Swindon
New College Swindon has recently been judged "Good with many outstanding features", by OFSTED and we have an exciting opportunity within the Computing and ICT department for a visionary and creative individual who has a hunger for sharing knowledge, experience and ideas with our learners - we are educating the cybersecurity experts of the future.
New College are national leaders (FE Week) for 16-18 positive progression and continually seek dedicated and inspirational staff to support our journey to Outstanding.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic member of staff to lead on our Cyber and Security Foundation Degree programme. You will be the primary facilitator of our brand new, industry standard networking laboratory inside the recently refurbished H.E. centre. Being highly skilled in this field you will have the exciting prospect of developing this programme and will play a major role in strengthening and growing cyber security teaching at the college and introducing these concepts without our Further Education Programmes.
Ideally, you will have experience of academic teaching but we will consider applicants with extensive industry expertise. We are also interested in speaking to recent graduates with relevant degrees who are looking to impart their knowledge and skills to undergraduate students. As we are committed to your development, we would fund you to gain a teaching or professional qualification to support your own development at the college.
There is flexibility in the size of this role and it may compliment working alongside an existing academic or industry role. We would also consider this role to be part of a job share.
Staff at New College Swindon benefit from excellent conditions of employment, including a generous holiday allowance, attractive pension scheme and an attractive benefits programme.
For an informal discussion about this exciting opportunity please contact Patrick Seale!
We are committed to safeguarding and the promotion of welfare for all learners, we expect staff to share these commitments. Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including DBS and provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
