Engineer - Successful Property Developer

Torquay, Devon (office/field based, with travel throughout the South West)

The Company

With a rich history dating back to 1923, our client is the South West’s largest independent house builder. Now running for three generations, they construct beautiful new homes that customers love.

They are currently looking for an Engineer to join their dedicated team in Torquay and support key phases of the property development process.

You will have the chance to get involved with a range of projects and support the ongoing success of one of the region’s leading privately-owned property developers.

The Role

As an Engineer, you will support the co-ordination of development infrastructure, as well as layout and utilities for our client’s range of properties.

In this key role, you will:

- Manage the activities and performance of external consultants

- Provide technical input during the entire pre-development process, including the land, planning and technical stages

- Support the Commercial and Build Teams during the construction phase

- Provide post-construction support with road and sewer adoptions

- Travel to project locations throughout the South West

About You

To join this company as an Engineer, you will need:

- Experience of the infrastructure design process, including roads, drainage and utilities

- A basic understanding of the commercial process

- Strong communication and team-working skills
