Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Microsoft Application and Network Support Technician with proven troubleshooting experience and project implementation skills within the area of Microsoft and Networking technologies is required by a leading Charity based in Reading, Berkshire.

SALARY: £36,259 to £38,392 per annum

                     IT Security: VPN, Firewall, Anti-spam and Web browsing

                     Microsoft technology: MS Server, MS Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory, MS SCCM and MS SCOM

                     Networking technologies: Cisco Routing and switching, Wireless, WAN and LAN

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Microsoft Application and Network Support Technician that has proven troubleshooting experience and project implementation skills within the area of Microsoft and Networking technologies.

Working as the Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Microsoft Application and Network Support Technician you will play a key role within the Infrastructure Team in which you will lead on project work stream teams, plan and deliver operational initiatives and support all infrastructure technicians on a day to day basis.

As the Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Microsoft Application and Network Support Technician you will research, evaluate, select, acquire and/or develop, install and configure systems hardware and software to meet the evolving needs of the Company.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Microsoft Application and Network Support Technician:

                     Act as technical advisor to the Lead Infrastructure Technician and the rest of the Infrastructure Team

                     Communicate with 3rd party suppliers

                     Ensure continuous improvement through management and maintenance of the Charity’s technical infrastructure

                     Troubleshoot of both new and escalated issues

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

                     Proven troubleshooting and project implementation skills with the area of Microsoft technologies and Network technologies

                     Knowledge of security: VPN, Firewall, Anti-spam and other infrastructure monitoring tools

                     Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an IT related field or relevant experience

                     Excellent communication skills at all levels

                     Ability to meet conflicting demands

                     Skilled in producing technical documentation and able to explain complex technical subjects to non-technical people

                     Knowledge of Security: VPN, Firewall, Anti-spam, Web browsing, MS Server 2012/2008, infrastructure monitoring tools
