Cyber Security Technical Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Technical Lead to join an industry-leading financial services organisation based in Peterborough. The successful Cyber Security Technical Lead will be the technical subject matter expert on cyber security matters and lead security initiatives across the business, including tool configuration and best practise advice. The Cyber Security Technical Lead will also be responsible for working with the wider to business to ensure all sensitive data is protected, as well as with 3rd parties and security providers to ensure the estate is protected.

Working as the Cyber Security Technical Lead, your role will include:

* Installing and maintaining various tooling, whilst adhering to cyber security standards.

* Developing relationships with the SOC/MDR management, implementing and driving cyber security standards.

* Managing the Cyber and InfoSec team's automation goals, to streamline BaU tasks.

* Securing sensitive data by maintaining appliances and tools.

* Delivering effective advice to technical teams in the wider business area.

Skills required for the Cyber Security Technical Lead:

* Excellent knowledge of all operating systems and infrastructure and how to secure data as it flows through networks.

* Excellent knowledge of scripting (e.g. Python, Bash, Unix) to accelerate BaU tasks and integrate with APIs.

* Understanding network architecture and how to secure multiple LANs over VPNs and other remote appliances.

* Good knowledge of cyber security frameworks and how to enhance the technical control mechanisms.

* Good understanding of the cyber kill chain to ensure effective controls are in place at each level.
