Successful and expanding global firm is embarking on a multi-year, multi-million pound programme of investment on Analytics (Big Data etc), Digital and Mobile application deliverables. A key part of this initiative is the effective, cross project implementation and Transition to a cohesive Release Management, DevOps and Agile approach as part of the current Agile transformation across Development as a whole. A new role has been created to be the driving force of the group’s release Management and Service Transition team working with both UK management, technical leads and offshore teams on large, enterprise scale projects.

Potential candidates for this role will have an extensive, broad background in leading the Release Management of large, innovative groups with a "Cloud first" mentality and interest/expertise in DevOps likely to include AWS/Azure, Tooling, Scripting, Monitoring etc. You will guide applications through Transition Management to Productions Support hand-over.

A technical background will help with recognising the opportunities and constraints of technology as well as the ongoing enthusiasm for emerging tech that will keep the firm one step ahead of the competition. Communication is key as you will need to be effective at managing business expectations and delivering Transition Management solutions involving globally dispersed internal Agile teams and offshore resources. Proven knowledge of ITIL, Agile and tools like Jira etc is expected in order to be able to define and operate within complex frameworks.
