Progressive IT are working with an Australian owned ICT Services organisation who specialise in QA and Testing.

This role is for a Test Automation specialist who originates from a development background. To succeed in this role, you will have experience architecting highly scalable, robust and maintainable test automation solutions. You will be working in a collaborative environment and have the ability to lead teams and projects, and be willing to share your expertise with other team members.

* Canberra

* $100,000 - $115,000 base + super

* Australian Citizenship Required

What you will be responsible for:

* Define strategies and implementation plans which demonstrate ROI

* Collaborate with developers and test engineers to improve test and release processes

* Create, build and maintain test tooling and frameworks

* Document and report progress, risks, issues and defects

* Demonstrate best practices in software development

Essential skills:

* A solid understanding of OOP development practices (Java, C# or similar)

* A solid ability to deliver engineered automation!

* Experience with one or more: Selenium, QTP / UFT / LeanFT, Tosca, Ranorex, Coded UI

* Hands on CI/CD experience: Jenkins, Bamboo, Team City

* Solid experience with Web Service and API testing

* BDD with tools such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, JBehave

* Version control with GIT and a good understanding of branching and merging

* Commercial experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX

* Experience in client/stakeholder facing role

Nice to have:

* Mobile application testing experience

* SQL and database experience

* AWS / Azure

* Ansible / Pupper / Chef
