Our client is looking 2nd Line IT / Web Support Engineer to join their Infrastructure Services team. This is a 2nd line, technical role focusing on providing the operations support and maintenance of a comprehensive Infrastructure estate on behalf of internal and external clients and contracts. Working as part of a team you will respond to incidents raised through automated system alerts and triggers and respond to issues with application services and hardware which are impacting or causing risk to service availability. You will also proactively support servers and applications to ensure all systems function as required along with regular monitoring and analysis of websites and applications are functioning correctly. To be successful, you will be highly motivated, possess excellent communication and problem solving skills and be a keen team player. You will have proven experience in a technical support and implementation role and experience in diagnosing and resolving website faults. It is essential that you have relevant experience in the following technologies:- Windows OS maintenance, Linux OS maintenance, Administration of IIS including .NET and Silverlight, Apache with Tomcat and Java and JBOSS middleware. Qualifications in MCSE, CCNA, CCSA or equivalent would be desirable but not essential.
