Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Learning Technology Advisor for an initial 9 month contract on a rate of £200-225/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Support an institution-wide project to provide students with courses on the organisation's Virtual Learning Environment that meet their needs and provide the colleagues who design courses with the relevant skills, knowledge & guidance to do so.

* Work in partnership with the Project Team, the Learn Service Team and the Project Board, to support and lead on relevant work areas including stakeholder consultation, course template design and build, testing & piloting designs, staff training, evaluation, and report writing.

* Contribute proactively to team operations, problem solving, planning and strategy.

* Promote productive working relationships with partners across the organisation.

Requirements:

* Sound knowledge of the learning and teaching context within which users operate.

* Team player capable of managing project operations, with ability to build effective relationships with all colleagues.

* Good verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to influence colleagues at all levels and to prepare and deliver reports and presentations.

* Demonstrable user focus with confidence and energy to drive user-oriented change.

* Thorough knowledge of relevant aspects of design and delivery of learning services with good service and project management awareness e.g. how to introduce and gain user acceptance of new services.

* Good analytical skills, including problem solving, with an ability to take ownership for problem resolution.

* Awareness and understanding of current technology developments within an e-learning environment.

* Enthusiasm for evaluating new technologies in an educational context and identifying potential opportunities for strategic development.

* Experience of advising users on how to make best use of IT systems and services in order to best meet the needs of a diverse user base and deliver user satisfaction.
