The UK’s leading utility data services business, providing services to all parts of the utility sector for over 20 years, employing more than 2,500 people and supported by a truly national infrastructure is seeking a Technical Trainer to join our existing and expanding team. The successful candidate for the role will work alongside the training and compliance team, reporting directly to the manager and will be required to support a national field team.The ideal Technical Trainer must be willing and able to travel and remain flexible in their working hours with an ability to manage their own workload and priorities to meet the business needs. There will be a requirement for self-development and learning which will require dedication.
As a Technical Trainer your duties will include:
Delivering a variety of training packages from soft skills through to technical.Providing onsite coaching and support for reinstatement following stand downs.Providing corrective actions in training.Delivering company induction and tablet training.Supporting future training needs of MDS around SMETs 2 and DCC.Designing and developing training materials.Ensuring quality and assurance of external training / assessment providers.Document reviewing and design.Providing written reports and issue recommendations and development plans around training outcomes and observations.Completing administration tasks as required.Undertaking continued development as required to gain recognised trainer and assessor qualifications. To be a successful Technical Trainer you will have the following skills and experience:
Gas qualified to minimum level CMA1 / MET1.Experience of MOCOPA / NSAP / EUSR registration would be advantageous.Experience in smart installations and onsite customer experience.Clear communication skills.Confident with use excel, word and power point.Demonstrable experience delivering key messages to groups such as tool box talks, safety updates etc.Advantageous to already hold a recognized training and assessor qualification - PTLs, CTLs or TQWA / A1. In return, the successful candidate will receive a salary of up to £33,000 per annum.
