Android Developer - Manchester

An Android Developer is required for a global organisation for their modern office in central Manchester.

You will be joining the mobile development team, which forms part of the larger software development team. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Android apps, improving application performance, perform integration tests, perform unit test and work on bug fixing. You will be working with as part of cross functional teams on high profile projects, on an international scale.

Essential skills for the Android Developer:

* 3+ years of Android development

* Experience with Gradle and Android Studios

* Exposure to BDD and TDD

* Skilled in application localisation and internationalisation

* Have worked in an Agile Development Environment

* Hands on experience with ButterKnife, RxJava and/or Dagger2

* Skilled in Android packages such as, Bluetooth, SpeechRecognition, Bitmaps, SharedPrefences, AsyncTask, , RecyclerView, ViewSwitchers and Timers

* Experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs

* Proven track record of SSL security, rich UI development, Wi-Fi, JSON, HTTP, XML, sockets and App signing.

* Software Configuration Management

Desirable skill for the Android Developer:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

* Experience with third-party analytics services

* Continuous Integration
