The Next Chapter

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Product Manager to join our team! We are looking for someone who understands our place in the world and for helping us recognise success in our target markets.

Responsibilities

- Own the product development upstream process including:

- Engage with customers, prospects, industry consultants and other influencers to ensure an understanding of key market change drivers, trends and the competitive landscape.

- Manage the discovery phase and produce Business Outcomes for product enhancements.

- Regularly engage with the Executive team and business to prioritise product backlogs through leading workshops and by other mean.

- Take a leadership role in developing the product strategy for each of our target markets, determining the required capabilities of our products

- Be the advocate of the customer jobs to be done and challenges faced, setting the problem and empowering others to produce solutions, ensuring user needs are met

- Ensure the Product Owners have full visibility of upcoming developments and participate in three amigos and kick off sessions as required, minimising hand offs

- Support the Product Owners with gaining customer feedback into ongoing development work as appropriate

- Determine whether the expected outcome of released functionality was delivered successfully (benefit recognition)

- Maintain detailed information for each competitor that includes products, scope of solution, pricing, customers, key people, structure, financials and business strategy.

- Attend and speak at industry conferences and events.

- Work closely with the Brand and Media teams to produce regular product collateral, thought leadership and market content for internal and external communications

- Provide support to Business Development and Customer Relationship Management in sales and bid processes.

- Ensure we communicate product releases and new features externally to our customers and internally to staff.

- Evaluate, recommend and maintain business relationships with third parties with whom we choose to partner.

- Excellent communication skills

- Knowledge and understanding of life and pensions market

- If you have pre-sales experience presenting to clients or customers also - that would be a big bonus!
