Infrastructure Lead Architect
Hybrid cloud infrastructure platform using one or more technologies like Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESX, Openstack, IBM, Azure and AWS to host their customer’s application services and workloads in the cloud. The Infrastructure Lead Architect is responsible for architecting and designing solutions for IAAS/PaaS/SaaS on hybrid cloud platform for a variety of internal and external product used by our clients. Whilst a deep technical role this role will also include client facing meetings in which solutions are discussed and will also include the initial setup and deployment of new solutions to client.

Education Bachelors’ degree Masters’ degree
Professional Certifications Azure or AWS Certifications Any advanced Cloud Architect Certifications.
Work Experience Professional experience architecting largescale distributed systems
Hands-on experience using compute, networking, storage and database services using Azure or AWS
Implementation experience in elasticity and scalability concepts
Understanding of network technologies as they relate to Hybrid Cloud
A good understanding and implementation experience of all security features and tools that Azure or AWS provides and how they relate to traditional services
Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS deployment and management services, and as well as third part tools
Hands-on experience in moving IaaS workloads using Re-hosting or Re-factoring migration approach A strong understanding and experience of how to interact with hybrid cloud (SDK, APIs, Command Line Interface, Azure ARM or AWS CloudFormation)
Experience in high available or distributed applications
Technical Skills Broad project lifecycle experience - especially in Enterprise environments
Expert knowledge of Azure or AWS or Openstack platform features and capabilities
Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, reverse proxies, routing, switching etc.)
Security (firewall configuration, IPS/IDS etc.)
Understanding of common application approaches and technologies (e.g. SOA, message queuing)
Understanding of common database technologies (e.g. backup/restoration, replication/mirroring)
Understanding of common internet technologies (e.g. e-mail, web servers, web services)
Experience designing for disaster recovery, hybrid cloud storage, backup and archival
Experienced producing multi-tiered, loadbalanced, redundant application infrastructure architectures
SAN and storage (RAID configuration, caching etc.)
Experience using Azure ARM/Automation or AWS Cloud Formation or automated deployment/configuration tools (e.g. Chef/Puppet)
Java SE & EE, including EJB3.x, Web services, JMS, including two or more different JMS implementations (eg. WebSphereMQ / MQSeries, ActiveMQ, HornetQ, Oracle AQ, etc)
Two or more Java EE Application Servers (JBoss AS, Glassfish, WebSphere, WebLogic)
Familiarity with other cloud technologies
Bash Shell Scripting in Linux/Unix, AWK
Windows PowerShell
