Windows and Vmware Administrator

Swindon

£27,000 per annum

Windows experience is a must in the below areas:

                     Administrating Windows Server, 2003,2008R2,2012,2012R2

                     Troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis of issues on Windows server, Vmware ESXi, Citrix Xenapp.

                     Active Directory ,DNS, DHCP and Group policy Management.

                     Hardware troubleshooting Skills, coordination and Vendor Communication Skills.

                     Knowledge of VMware and VMware administration

                     Desirable for the candidate to have a Familiarity of a programming language(e.g. Python)                      Understanding of ITIL Processes Such as

                     Incident Management

                     Change management

                     Request Management

                     Problem Management.

                     Understanding of Citrix is preferred

                     Knowledge of Linux administration would be preferable7.

                     Installation, configuration, maintaining Windows Server 2000/03/08R2/12R2 server builds.

                     Manage windows hardware refresh involving contacting business units, project coordination, and migration of old hardware to new Virtual Server or hardware.

                     Build and deploy windows server images using Cisco UCS Manager, TPM, SCCM, and VMware templates.

                     Assist with monthly windows server patching utilizing SCCM 2007 involving MS, Stretch Clustered areas

                     Engage and collaborate with different IT departments for server hardware issues.

                     VMware vSphere 5.1 ESXi 5.1/4.1 maintenance/support. P2V,V2V, P2P migrations to new environments.
