This is a shift based role, the shifts are as follows:
Night shift: 22.00 - 06.00
Rotating: 14.00 - 22.00 and 06.00 - 14.00
Day shift:  08.00 - 17.00

As a Helpdesk Operator you will:
Provide front-end interface and to deal directly with enquiries from visitors, patients, public and Trust staff in a professional and friendly manner in line with company standards.Record customer requests using the agreed format, ensuring all information is passed to the appropriate departments.Provide accurate information to callers promptly, so that G4S staff comply with contractual response times.Source any additional information in order to respond to Trust staff enquiries accurately and efficiently.Ensure service requests are passed on to the appropriate department, monitoring and recording progress in dealing with them.Refer enquiries that cannot be dealt with to the appropriate individual or body using the agreed communication lines.Generate management information from the information system to ensure G4S meet the agreed service standards.Proactively provide customers with information on outstanding work requests.Book and record requests for taxis. To report system faults in line with agreed procedures.Ensure that all bleeps are kept secure and signed to authorised personnel only.Carry out emergency procedures for cardiac, fire and to test the equipment when required.Assist authorised fax users and to notify departments of incoming faxes.Undertake general administration to support the department, ensuring all service standards are met.  The ideal Helpdesk Operator will have the following skills and experience:
Ability to act professionally and deliver great customer service.Previous experience within a call-centre, customer service or customer advisor role. Good standard of general education.Ability to remain calm under pressureCourteous and friendly manner. Accurate record keeping skills.Good attention to detail.Experience of working in an NHS environment is desirable.  
In return you will receive a salary of £8.50 per hour plus 25 days annual leave, life assurance, pension,  access to employee assistance programme and other flexible benefits.
