Postgres DBA - Unix
Location: Hertfordshire
Duration: 3 months initial
Day Rate: £450 - £500
Postgres DBA - We are actively looking for a Postgres DBA to join a ground breaking, leading Technology Company based in Hertfordshire for an initial 3 months. As the Postgres DBA you will research, design and maintain automated "Database As A Service" on the business' Infrastructure platform, deploying inside Kubernetes as well as having extensive interaction with the Unix and Cloud teams to ensure a smooth service is offered.
The Postgres DBA will need experience with configuration as well as database installs and backups. The successful Postgres DBA will need to be able to provide advice, training and mentor the development teams on issues relating to designing and building data solutions for their applications. This is an excellent opportunity for the Postgres DBA to undertake technically stretching work in a stimulating and sociable environment, where you can push technological boundaries and create solutions to problems people haven't even thought about yet.
Key Skills for the Postgres DBA:
* Solid experience deploying, managing and configuring Postgres Databases.
* Strong Unix background and network understanding.
* Automation Scripting - Shell and Python.
* Exposure to Kubernetes.
* Excellent communication skills are vital.
