IT Project Manager

We are actively looking to secure a Project Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Role:

Digital Employee Services is responsible for the consistent delivery of IT projects which relate to the Workplace & Travel business function. Many of the projects have an IT element which require co-ordination across service lines, vendors and the business.

The purpose of this role is to manage several Workplace projects that are now reaching the capability phase and require an experienced IT project manager. There are several projects in the portfolio that require managing:

1) Data & Analytics project - to deliver a data warehouse and series of reports

2) GPAS/MIM integration - a project to automate data feeds from our Joiner/Mover/Leaver process into the current card access application (GPAS)

3) Planon to Cloud - an upgrade project to move an existing application from an on-premise to a cloud solution

4) Smartbuildings - a large project to implement a mobile app and portal to allow several workplace applications to be accessed from one location.

5) An IT assessment of using combined master data across several IT systems (short assessment paper)

Role Requirements:

* You will be responsible for co-ordinating all the IT components of the project, the project plan and managing stakeholders, IT teams and vendors.

* You will build the project plans, implementation and roll out plans, co-ordinate all User testing enabling go live, stakeholder communication and prepare for the commencement of PGLS to support new users and Use Cases as they transition into Business as Usual. The handover to the support team will also require co-ordination and managing the process from project to support.

* You will need to be able to work to close deadlines and deliver under pressure. You will need to have excellent communications skills, be able to prioritise multiple tasks and projects and be able to work independently.

* You will be asked to put together project status reports and summaries for circulation to stakeholders and present progress reports to the wider Project team and senior stakeholders. You will also need to be involved in Post Go Live Support to help direct user queries.

* You will work directly with test users, the Support Team and the Supplier Support Teams.

* You need to be able to hold people accountable for the completion of the tasks which they have been assigned.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Understand the business requirements document and scope the IT tasks required to deliver the projects

* Work with the business, technical IT teams and vendors to scope the projects and tasks within

* Create project plans with tasks, deliverables and timelines.

* Arrange kick-off calls and project update calls

* Create project status reports

* Manage the delivery of the project and co-ordinate activities across all the technical IT teams involved

* Create User Acceptance Testing Scenarios based on requirements/guidelines from the project and stakeholders

* Distribute Test Materials to users and follow up with the testers to ensure that testing is completed to agreed deadlines

* Update the Project Team on Progress and create written project and test Summaries

* Pick up on issues in testing and work with the necessary teams to get a solution

* Escalate to the Core Project Team if there are any delays and risks to the deadlines set

* Work with IT infrastructure projects, technical IT delivery and IT vendors

* Excellent Communication skills

* Strong Corporate/Business understanding - preferably within an IT context

* Ability to build strong and effective working relationships across different cultures

* Excellent & proven detailed analytical competencies

* Flexibility to adjust to changing business requirements

* Strong commitment to quality assurance processes, particularly project delivery
