IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops and other devices.
It employs around 8,500 employees globally and comprises five functions: Client Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Data Centre and Service Management, Relationship Management, Project Management and PMO, and Risk and Administration. We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Software Delivery Project Manager - Based in Whiteley requiring travel to Sheffield
In this role, you will:
* Lead and motivate the team towards successful Software Delivery
* Provide management/co-ordination across all stages of a project, including management of resource demand/supply and alignment with plans
* Manage the activities of project managers/officers assigned to individual projects, ensuring adherence to group standards in both delivery and tools
* Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across HOST, UK Transformation, 3rd Party Vendors and our colleagues in the Business
* Control project budgets
* Report project status and progress at various levels
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* Past experience as a Software Delivery Project Manager with functional management experience
* Agile discipline experience and implementation management - who can lead multi-stakeholders (Scrums/PODS) that are globally disperse
* Experience of project management within the banking industry
* Proven experience of successful project management, utilising relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery
