Senior / Lead QA Engineer (Automation)

Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Global organisation for a number of experienced QA / Test professionals to join their Technology team in Nottingham to take a central role in developing the tools, platforms and scripts to ensure released products meet the high standards expected.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

* Cover many aspects of QA automation, including automated UI testing, API testing including webservices, Performance and SOAK testing

* Application of diligent QA practices to identify and document test scenarios

* Develop automated technical tests in-line with QA standards

* Execute both technical and manual tests as and when needed

* Take a proactive approach in maximising auto test coverage

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

* Proven experience of writing structured automated tests

* Good Java, Python or C# programming skills

* Use of source code management tools

* Demonstrable experience of SDLC and test management tools, e.g. Jira, Zephyr

* Demonstrable experience of the defect management lifecycle

* An understanding of the test lifecycle (planning, analysis, execution, reporting)

It would also be desirable to have the following skills -

* In depth experience across testing lifecycle

* Good experience with Selenium WebDriver

* Good understanding of object-oriented programming techniques

* Experience using technology/tools such as JMeter, SOAPUI
